FARMER APPERT PLANTS THE SEEDS FOR VICTORY
Outside pole sitter, Trenton Kohler, led early in the Hobby Stock feature. Cautions came early and often. Kohler found himself caught up in the chaos, putting himself to the tail and handing the lead over to Josh Roehrich. The cautions allowed Jeremy Engelhardt, in his new race car, to challenge for the lead. Engelhardt grabbed the lead with three laps to go before a caution regrouped the field for the final time. On the restart, Derrick Appert passed second place Roehrich and looked low under Engelhardt. Roehrich held tight with the leaders and made it a three car battle for the win. They raced three wide coming to the white flag. Appert motored by on the bottom of the track to clear the position. Derrick Appert held off Josh Roehrich to return to Dacotah Speedway victory lane. Jeremy Engelhardt, had to settle for third ahead of Jeremy Herr. Kelly Hoerner edged John Gartner Jr and Bill Hultberg for fifth place.

WIEST WINS IN WILD FASHION IN MANDAN
The Aussie, Glenn Michell, grabbed the early lead in the INEX Legends feature. While Mitchell started to distance himself from the field, Austin Wiest, Casey Martin and Preston Martin raced three wide for second. Wiest shuffled into the second position, bringing Donavin Wiest with him. With the momentum, Austin Wiest quickly tracked down the leader, Mitchell and took the lead on lap three. After a series of mid-race cautions, Austin Wiest and Donavin Wiest battled hard for the lead. Donavin Wiest slipped by and took the lead at the halfway point, bringing Preston Martin with him. Preston Martin was all over his rear bumper. As they raced to the checkered flag, Donavin Wiest narrowly edged Preston Martin for the victory. Austin Wiest held onto third place, holding off Noah Madler and Nate Keena.

CASTRO KICKS OFF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IN VICTORY LANE
Former track champion, Kelly Hagel, led from the pole in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Hagel’s lead was short lived as young Chris Welk Jr took the lead on lap two. Welk Jr pulled away quickly as Hagel and Jeremy Engelhardt battled for second. Jason Meidinger quickly drove through the field and made it a three car battle but got loose and slid into Engelhardt. The race continued on as the contact allowed Jeremy Castro to close in on the leaders. A mid-race caution regrouped the field on the restart, Castro passed Welk for the lead. Castro distanced himself from the field as Geoff Hellman and Hunter Domagala raced door to door for second. Hellman cleared Domagala for second as Domagala now had his hands full with Troy Cepak Jr. When the checkered flag waved, Troy Cepak Jr just edged Hunter Domagala by inches for third place. Geoff Hellman came up short and settled for second place behind feature winner, Jeremy Castro. Matt Dosch rounded out the top five.

KELLER A BRIDESMAID NO MORE, FINDS VICTORY IN MANDAN
After a complete restart in the IMCA Modified feature, pole sitter Darrell Parsons led early. Defending track champion, Shawn Strand, who started eighth, quickly marched his way to the front and set his sights on the leader. Strand took the lead before a couple of cautions reset the field. On the restart, Strand and Jeremy Keller battled side by side for the lead. Just before the halfway point, Keller slid up in front of Strand and quickly pulled away. As the laps wound down, Strand started to fall into the clutches of third place Marlyn Seidler. After finishing runner up in the first two races of the season, Jeremy Keller finally sealed the deal and picked up the victory in Mandan. Marlyn Seidler made a last corner, last lap pass to finish second over Shawn Strand. Mark Dahl, who started 13th, finished fourth ahead of Logan Schmitz.
