The Mary Vetter Hobby Stock Challenge, as well as The Legendary Tour, made their stops at the Dacotah Speedway on Friday, June 6th. Increased payouts for both the Hobby Stock and INEX Legends were on the line.

Cautions came early and often for the youngsters in the Slingshot feature. After two complete restarts, Landen Hallgren grabbed the lead while Otto Reuer and Caiden Davenport battled for second. Caution would regroup the field on lap three, but on the restart, Hallgren pulled away. Davenport passed Reuer for second while the battle for fourth was heating up between Easton Olson and Libby Keller. When the checkered flag waved, Libby Keller edged Easton Olson for the fourth position. Otto Reuer finished third behind second place Caiden Davenport. Picking up his third Dacotah Speedway victory of the season was Landen Hallgren.

Scoring the most passing points from the heat races, Josh Roehrich led the field to the green flag in the Hobby Stock feature. It was the first race in the Mary Vetter Hobby Stock Challenge and Roehrich quickly pulled away from the field. A series of early cautions erased his lead and on the final restart, Roehrich and Derrick Appert battled for the lead. Meanwhile, it was a hard fought battle for third between Jeremy Herr and Kelly Hoerner. With only a few laps remaining, Roehrich and Appert battled for the win. As the checkered flag waved, Josh Roehrich held off Derrick Appert for the victory. Kelly Hoerner made a late race pass to finish third ahead of Jeremy Herr while Brody Michaelsohn edged Bill Hultberg at the finish line for fifth.

The Legendary Tour came to Dacotah Speedway for Night #4 of their six night INEX Legend racing tour. When the green flag waved for their feature, Preston Martin wasted no time going to the front. He grabbed the lead before a caution on lap three regrouped the field. On the restart, Martin had his hands full with Tanner Jones from Glengardner, NJ. The two drivers were bumper to bumper as they battled for the lead. Despite racing hard for the win, it was a two car breakaway between Martin and Jones. A small bobble from Martin allowed Jones to slip by and take the lead with four laps to go. Tanner Jones pulled away to cross the finish line first over Preston Martin. Ty Olson finished third ahead of Austin Wiest and Noah Madler.

When the green flag waved in the IMCA Stock Car feature, Casey Binstock and Matt Dosch battled for the lead. Binstock led early before Dosch grabbed the lead on lap four and pulled away. Binstock started to fall through the field, losing positions to Adam Goff, Geoff Hellman and Brock Beeter. Hellman, who started 10th, passed Goff for second with seven laps to go and set his sights on Dosch. Hellman reeled in Dosch and they raced hard for the win. Coming out of corner four and to the checkered flag, Matt Dosch just narrowly held off Geoff Hellman for the win. Adam Goff finished third ahead of Brock Beeter while Shawn Volk rounded out the top five.

In the final feature of the night, pole sitter Kyler Jeffrey led early in the IMCA Modified feature. Jeffrey led the first four laps before defending track champion, Shawn Strand, took the top spot. Points leader, Jeremy Keller, quickly climbed into the second position. As the laps wound down, third place Mark Dahl fell into the clutches of Quentin Kinzley. When the checkered flag waved, Marlyn Seidler crossed the finish line in fifth place. Quentin Kinzley made a late race pass to finish third ahead of Mark Dahl. Jeremy Keller settled for second place behind back-to-back feature winner, Shawn Strand.
